Crossroads Point Business Center® was the host to the 2005 Patriot Day Healing Field Flag Memorial consisting of 3011 flags arranged on more than 3 acres. The 3' x 5' flags stood 8 foot tall in perfect rows and columns across a field of green in honor of the lives lost in the terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001. We honor the many men and women who have fight for our freedom in the current and past wars. This living memorial flew as a patriotic tribute to the strength and unity of all Americans.
A breathtaking display of patriotism and unity, this community project was free to all who wish to participate and heal together from the heartache of a nation attacked. The flags were proudly displayed in the blowing wind from September 9-15, 2005 in Jerome, Idaho at the Crossroads Point Business Center®. The project was organized locally by Arlen and Derrel Crouch.
Each flag was available for sponsorship. After the event, those who sponsored flags were able to take them home to continue their own tribute and honor to our great country. The funds raised from the sale of the flags were donated to local charities. Volunteers from the community helped assemble the flags and place them on the field.
